    Link doesn't work... and unfortunatley it's not a bargain.

    For example: Standard price is £999 @ WarehouseExpress

    I don't think they ship to Ireland anymore... but if you look at any of the big photography suppliers (Jessops, Calumet etc) they're all charging about £1000 for this lens.

    You can also get this in Dublin e.g. Conns for about €1300 which isn't too far off the £1000 UK price.

    well worth the money imo..
    was lucky to buy from Calumet less than 2yrs ago for £679 :)

    They require money transfer and you are also liable for import taxes/duty (if caught!).

    There's an updated MarkII version of this lens due out in the near future, so it would make sense the price of the MarkI is falling. Apparently some big improvements have been made to the image quality, thank god. It's not a great lens for the money.

    When I got my camera back in February from kerso, he gave me a list of prices with the camera. The "Canon EF 24-70mm F2.8L: USM SLR Lens" was £875 then. Email him: kerso1123@msn.com for an up-to-date price list? Prices may have gone back up due to dollar/euro difference, though. He's based in Scotland, and pays the VAT into Scotland (when it comes in from the USA), so you get a UK warranty with it.
