Anyone have advice on deferring for a year as a grant holding student?

    1. There's no shame in it - did it myself! If you're having any specific problems then do not hesitate to drop into the SU buildings (if you're up here in the east) or call me on 01-708-6249.

    2. You can defer and get your grant on the year you come back to college. You need to go to Registration (ring first!) and they'll advise you on how to inform the college and inform your local County Council - there are a few different institutions that have to be made aware.

    3. PM me.

Get in touch with Academic Advisory. They were really, really helpful when I decided to defer and will go through everything with you.

    Hope you're okay :)

Take this advice, do it all.

Academic Advisory are brilliant, and there is a way to sort out everything.
Don't worry, it will work out!
