Why isnt the atmosphere great? Is it full of posers?

It used to be great in ATL (Andrew's Lane) then they upgraded to the Academy and the social aspect is as crap as any gig hosted there. At least in ATL there was the dark gig area, then the lit up bar area where you could see faces and hear yourself talk etc. It felt more like a club there but Academy dies a bit of a death after the gig and you can't hear conversation.

because the place is quite big and the crowd isnt massive, but it is a good night all in all!!!

Yea it was much better in Andrews Lane. The Academy is kinda crap. Feels to me like they could play techno any second. Doesn't have the atmosphere of whelans or ALT.

Went to some Friday night Phantom thing in the Academy a few weeks back. Not a bad crowd there, Michelle was spinnin the "Chooooooooooons", I was hammered. So all I can say is that I enjoyed myself :)
