I doubt it; it was obvious after the end of the first day that it would end in a draw! May as well declare and hope you can get into the oppo rather than just keep batting and rattle up a world record score.

Pointless test match tbh. Fun to watch from a batting point of view, its hardly a contest.

Its a disgrace of a match really. The pitch is a road and its totally unfair on the bowlers. It does wonders for batsman averages but matches like this where the result is obvious from day 1 is killing test cricket. :mad:

Exactly, the one good part of this Test, was Sachin getting his 5th Double Century,

the guy is 37, and I hope the guy can play like this for many more years to come ...

What a difference a week makes! The third test has been superb and is going into a final day where both sides have a chance of winning. India need 200 or so runs but are three wickets down.

Yes..Team India gave tight slap on Sanga's face when he said in front of media after the 1st test - " Why India is no.1 test side". I would say 1st test was set up and meant for murali to reach 800 mark!
