car smells

    hi
    so i have a 633csi a 77 one manual and its my baby (firswt car but i have many classic bikes)

    was perfect (100,000 miles) but i decided to spend some money on her


    i treated her to new poly bushings new shocks (springs are fine and original)
    new discs new pads but she has decided to smell burny through the vents hot or cold

    the engine bay smells fine

    help?

    could be a coating of grease or something on the new discs to stop them corroding when kept in stock , the coating should be removed before use

    i cleaned the discs with brake cleaner and a dremel

    Could be the new pads bedding in.
