HD TV/ UPC and value for money!

So I just got a 42" HD ready flat screen! I bought a special HDMI cable for the PS3, which greatly improves the quality and now I'm wondering if it is worth it to upgrade my digital UPC box to a HD box?? Does anyone know which if any channels/shows are broadcast in HD? and finally will the HD box improve the quality of the other channels I recieve? (sometimes the quality of the broadcasts, such as those on comedy central, can look surprisingly poor).
    Thanks for your advise.

there are some channels broadcast in hd.

it will improve the normal channels somewhat but its still only a SD picture
so dont be expecting crystal clear picture on the normal cahnnels

a list of hd channels can be found here (it depends on which pack your on)

SD channels on the HD box will look slightly better but theyre still really poor quality. More so to do with the way a HD LCD tv shows up the flaws in SD signal, but considering from what I have seen SD channels look better on Sky Im not convinced the UPC signal isnt playing a part also.

There is a small number of HD channels available on UPC.

After having UPC for several months now I have come to the conclusion that TV, regardless of the quality just isn't worth the expense, so I watch movies in HD which is great.

    Thanks for the advice!
