So,the world has ended.We've set up a new country,comprising of the west and the island[connaght basically].The boardsies being behind it all[you know it's how it's going to happen].We are relatively [self sufficent] with regards food and such

What laws would you have in the Boardian nation?

I Dunno about specific Laws, but maybe we should see about establishing Diplomatic Relationships and Communications between the Survivor colonies, seeing as I'm gonna be President of Australia n'All and I think we have the New Queen of Dakota online here too, I presume you intend to be Uachtarain na Eireann Ginga

Not really,I don't want to run things,once the politics come in,I go out.Gawd help you if you try and F*ck with me,buh bye.

My main one would be,regardless of disputes or squabbles,death is death.If you let someone die,you follow them.You intentionally d*ck someone else over[as happens in every zombie flick] you aren't really needed in the new world

would need a colony census for this, very dependent on male/female ratio and number of survivors plus size of fortifications and expansion room.
Limited or unlimited pregnancies. Would definetly need some kind of law instated for that if we're in it for the longhaul, or face extinction through inbreeding or overpopulation.

well,yes and no.There's no room for bullsh*t including what ever leader you get.

I think a sort of democratic/caste system would work well.each group of survivors[farmers,services,defenders etc.] would have leaders and they would be the government of their own groups and then a sort of parliament of the heads would make the big decisions.

I'll be honest,I like a caste-type system for survival.It's the civilised version of survival of the fittest,the bigger and stronger[not just physical] you are,the better you are,simple as.A master craftsman is worth more than a chippy, Along the lines of the classes of people from WWZ.

that could work, but it could also be dangerous in a civil way. Not everyone would be content being labeled and slotted into a job in a caste-system.

Again this depends on colony size and how close people are to each other physiclly(close quarters) but it could work if the castes were interchangeable, for example, mechanics teach carpenters how to fix engines and vice versa with carpentry. Unforeseen accidents and death, sickness etc could severely mess everything up in a caste system without a backup plan.

maybe monthly apprenticeship programs which would in turn allieviate boredom and lessen the burden on one social caste by spreading the work out.
