Mechatronics?????

Hi, am thinking about doing a course in Mechatronics online either in Sligo http://odl.itsligo.ie/engineering/b-eng-in-mechatronics/ or online again in Blanchardstown http://www.itb.ie/StudyatITB/engineeringpt.html part time.
My background is in design of timber frame houses (6 yrs), all computer based, my degree is based around manufacturing. Currently just working in an admin job. I have read a bit about this area, if I was to start the course is it possible to get a job as a technician, or is very hard to get in as companies would promote from with in. Any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks.:)

This is a good course and I've sponsored many employees onto it. It would be a good course from an employment perspective, well recognised.

The L8 is sligo is not accredited by the IEI (engineers ireland). I think this means that the degree is basically worthless. worth checking up i think.
