"Wanted" World Record Breaker Attempt on the 8th August 2010 at Bray Promenade on 2pm

On Sunday 8 August 2010 at 2pm on at the Promenade Bray Seafront the An Garda Siochana from Bray in conjunction with its voluntary partners in the community are attempting to break the world record for the most people handcuffed together simultaneously.

The record currently stand at 562 and is held by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. There will be musical entertainment provided on the day as well as a Firework display that night on the seafront.

We are asking people to fundraise for the event with person in order for to participate and in return every participant will receive a T-Shirt and certificate of participation and hopefully be a participant in a fun filled world record breaking event.

They probably offer Free B&B with door opening service and transport with secure bed for the night for those who get out of hand.

It should be good fun, if only we could handcuff some troublesome guards and place them into a pie throwing contest. That should raise some funds for charities.:D

Good old Bray, ever progressive. Holding the record for most arrests in a suburban town in one night (792) wasn't enough, they're moving up to the next level.

I saw one at Leopardstown a while back and mother of God you could play handball off her arse!!!

Is there not some sort of physical shape you have to be in to join/stay in the Gardai? She wouldn't have caught a cold!

It is to be fair, there were only 791 arrests, the other was just a caution!

whats the story about those arrests? Is it a joke?

Just advertise it as a free set of Reeboks with each handcuffing and they should be able to end the day clearing their outstanding warrant list.

Is it the Guards handcuffing themselves?
There'll be plenty of robberies happening round that time so!

    Yea, just saw that

I'd take part for the sake of a world record and probably make a voluntary contribution to the charity.
But to be upfront charged 20yoyo for the pleasure of standing there like a prick handcuffed to 520 other pricks, for the sake of a T-Shirt...
    Bugger that..

    That's both disrespectful and infuriating.
How could you even think about such a thing, let alone post it?

You'd let them in the bedroom??
Just do them in the kitchen and then they have time to clean up the dishes before they go to sleep.

 20 Eur to take part, thanks but no thanks.

Issue with the posters and printing, the idea is that people fundraise money up to 20 euro
through sponsorship ! Not a charge of 20 Euro,
but just to clarify any and all donations accepted on the day
There are no charges !!!Music on the bandstand from about 1.30 pm with Ramble On
and afterwards with Run for Cover, there will also be a vintage car display

it should be fun, its for a good cause ( 3 good causes )
