Looking to start cycling as a hobby. One or two local cycling clubs that i could join. However money is tight and i would be looking for a good second hand racing bike. If anyone has one going cheap (or even free) i would be interested.

Also if anyone can recommed a good shop for getting all the relevent clothing and gear.

I live in Navan and would be able to collect in the Leinester area.

    Thanks

    Kenneth

    Moved to Cycling Adverts subforum.

Don't know about Navan, but if you want to go in towards Dublin then Cycle Superstore near Tallaght has a good selection of clothing.

saw a di vinci on adverts.ie for less than 300, has sti shifters and was in good nick, looked a small frame though. that looked a good deal. any road bike with shimano and shi shifters will normally be about 300 or 400 at the least. but anything for less will require alot of work, or youll be using downtube shifters, which will impact your enjoyment of cycling and make keeping up a club harder
