Anyone like to recommend a good tyre for a focus diesel van.

Something that will last a while. wont be driven too hard.

Had Verdestein Hi-Trac. Put four on at 50K. Now at nearly 85K and front two are nearly shot. Is that good. I've heard that Focus Vans(cars too I suppose) are hard on tyres.

    Any recommendations.

    Is that miles or km?

35k miles from a set of tyres is very good imo so I'd tend to go with the same again then.

Verdestein are quite a good tyre, I'm on Bridgestone B250's at the moment and they seem to be going well so far, haven't gone through a set yet though but there is at least 20,000 miles on them so far and there's plenty of thread left yet. Just don't buy a cheap brand, I've no belief in cheap tyres anyway ;)

That's kilometers in the OP. Is that still fairly good lasting.

    Have the same van myself.

    They are hard on tyres.

Have Bridgestones at the moment and seem to be lasting longer.

As already said, don't go for cheap tyres.

Check the pressure regularly. Front two should have 33 psi at least.

with normal driving ya would want to get a bit more than that, do ya drive it hard?

No I don't drive too hard into corners and I would class myself as being a light braker ie. I don't leave it till the last minute and then slam on the brakes.

I'd say i might stick with the Verdestein Hi-Trac, they will probably be the best and at least I know what they'll do.
