I have sky plus in my sitting room and sky multiroom in my kitchen. Do I need to get an engineer out to switch the boxes around - want the sky + in kitchen and other box in sitting room. If I cancel multiroom will I be able to watch whats on my sky plus box in the second room?

You have 2 cables running to the plus box(from the dish). if you want to swap the boxes you will need an extra cable from the dish to the multiroom box location(as it will currently only have one). You don't need a "sky" engineer, but you might be better of letting someone who knows a bit about it look at it for you.

If you want to be able to watch the sky+ in another room you will need another cable from the + box to that location or the location where your cables distribute from.

If theres access to attic space etc it should be straight forward enough. All depends on how your cabling is setup at the minute.

If you cancel Multiroom the second box you plan to move into the sitting room (regular sky box) will not work anymore. The Sky plus box will continue to work.

    Totally ~WRONG

the box will work it can be used to watch the free channels (all bbc and itv etc...)

and you can run a cable from the + box to it

this will enable you to view what you are watching on the +box.
