    Hi All,

I don't know much about watches so I need some help!

Well, I'm looking to get a surprise anniversary pressie Tag Heuer for my wife and maybe an Omega Speedmaster for myself.

Wife has cousins in Gibraltar and it is tax free. Has anyone every bought there?

If yes, could you recommend a jewellery? If not, where would you recommend in Ireland or UK?

Thanks in advance from a newbie.

    ROF

I just bought a cartier for my wife i went looking for an omega but i got a big 10 percent discount in Belfast.Wiers in Dublin would have done the same and because of the weakness with sterling i didnt save much,

It was cheaper in Dublin than in Spain where i tried in Corte Ingles but they would not give a discount. Also the internet is more expensive.

As for Gibralter i have no idea sorry.

10% would be the very least i would expect from an AD, id be aiming for 15 on any regular stock maybe even more

it might depend on the website but in my experience i've never found a watch on internet more expensive than a shop in the street.

Could you tell me of any reputable website? Would you not be wary of purchasing over web?

I got my brand new omega speedmaster in march from watchfinder, the rrp is something around 3900 but i've paid the equivalent of 2500 euro. Of course warranty box and papers came with it, shipping cost was included too.
this is just an example of many i can give you.

There is one major watch store there - Cohen. I'd give them a call and get a price first. Also, they may not have the model you want in stock, so if the price is right they could get it for you.

Was tempted myself a couple of years ago, but they did not have the model I wanted in stock.
