introducing pup to moss

    at the minute im taking my springer pup across a bit of rushes/wetland its only about 10 metres long and wide just to get him used to that sort of ground, he's 14 weeks old is it too early for it?

    not at all " as long as the pup is enjoying it " and your not wearing him out . pups have to have there rest .

    I had the pointer in the field at 10 weeks. he was so small he had to follow my tracks in the meadows!
    To watch him run around chasin butterflies & generally as happy as a pig in sh**e was a pleasure.
    After about 2 days out as soon as he saw the lead he was doing back flips in the run with anticapation.

    Have done the same with the Springer no problems what so ever. Mad for it.

    Bring a rolled up pair of socks & give him a throw or 2 in that environment to see does he like the game... (Litterally 1 or 2 at that age)

    thanks alot lads, he loves it the 1st time he followed my tracks but now hes getting more adventurous and goin out in front and he keeps tripping over the holes from the cattle and loves the smells and the wind lol

    he is a joy to watch lol

    ive also noticed that when he takes the ball he'll shake his head about how will i stop that as its a habit i dont want him getting into
