I'm wearing my Delorean t shirt today (literally) so I feel I should comment:

Pity there are not better pics, you could do well with that much money in the US, but then you' still have a car in the US, with 30% VRT on top plus tax, duty and shipping, it may not be so much of a bad deal after all.

'Fibreglass shell'? The De Lorean had a stainless steel shell, didn't it?

JOhn Jones? The only De Lorean I knew of in Galway for a long time belonged to the Yourell hairdresser family.

Thats what I always thought, but I just found this on wiki:

"The DMC-12 featured gull-wing doors with a fiberglass "underbody", to which non-structural brushed stainless steel panels were affixed."

You learn something new every day...

That add says it is 1982.
According to this Vin#6500 is October 81 and is in US.

of condition and the best car was close to 15-16000$ at a fairly
kind exchange rate at the time the car averaged out at

Perhaps a few on here might give better value.

If I has a few quid (like, a lot) I'd definitely be buying a DeLorean and sitting on it.

And in it a bit too, maybe.

If I could win the lotto now I could start to build up my dream garage starting with one of these.

Seen lots of them, been in one and can't see the attraction of them but I guess each to their own :)

    My first post on boards!

The advert looks a bit odd. Any DMC owner who was selling their car would know the engine is a 2.85 and the key problem area is rust on the chassis, so you'd always mention its condition or post photos in the advert. Also the car is an Oct 81 build as stated already.

Also VIN 6500 was a grey interior

A few years ago someone put photos on my car on ebay!

    Owner of VIN 2969.....

..interesting. But not half as VIN 5481.........Nigeria ?? Like if you saw that on eBay, location Nigeria - would you bid ?? :D:D

You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”
