I need a big family run around. I have been offered ...

    Citreon C8 70,000 miles, 2006 for €11,000
    Peugeot 807 100,000 miles, 2005 for €8,000

The Peugeot looks a bargain, but is that very high th mileage a problem? both cars are 1.9 diesel

Both are identical, I'd be inclined to go with the one with the best service history unless you are prepared to spend the extra 3 grand for the lower mileage car.

Although saying that I'd be more inclined to go with almost anything else. What about a Toyota Previa?

thanks for your input guys - the previa is another option, I haven't spotted a good one in the last few days and wifey is convinced that the peugeot is the solution.

Take your time and look around; dont rush into it. It might only be personal opinion but generally speaking Citroen and Peugeot are the last two cars I would consider buying (along with Rover).

Previa was only sold in 2.4 litre petrol afaik.

I'd also look for something along the lines of the Ford Galaxy/Seat Alhambra or a Mitsubishi Grandis but they tend to cost a bit more. Another cheaper alternative would be the Hyundai Trajet if you and your passengers can put up with the low rent interior.
