I booked my car in for NCT. Got my e-mail confirmation and a letter in the post quite quickly.

What i also got was the details of every other person in the country who has their car booked in for the test on the same day as mine.

This is not acceptable in my opinion. What do you think?

I'm thinking automatic pass and free test :D

Immediately contact the Data Protection Commissioner, this is a breech of the Data Protection Act and they should already have dobbed themselves in.

    @ OP,

Yes go to the data protection crowd AND the rags (I'm thinking Indo which is a fairly respectable paper and is known to strrrrreeeettttch the truth a little;) ).

Also, To what level of data is on the list?

Is it names/addresses/reg number? or more?

Was it a cc list on an email or something or were you literally sent full details of everyone?

Booking reference numbers for all centres nationwide and e-mail addresses.

Sounds an odd mistake to make! I presume you have rung them to inform them of their error?
