    Hi there,

Was just wondering what the procedure is for getting my provisional license. I've filled out the form etc.. So I bring it to my local motor taxation office with my passport and then what? How long does it take?

Also, can I get driving lessons before I get the actual license as I passed my Theory Test?

    Thanks!

No, you cannot get lessons until you receive your actual Learner Permit, but that won't take too long (5 working days at most usually) once you send away the form, or bring it to the motor tax office.

You will need your cert from passing the Theory Test, your passport, the fee (I think it's €15, it should say on the form), your eyesight report (you have to get your eyes tested at an optician's).

Okay cool, thank you both for the info:)

One more question - Does the eye test cert have to be really recent? I got an eye test roughly one year ago, would that be okay?
