I am looking to get a little netbook to take on my travels as the laptop is a bit big and clunky to be dragging around to events. All i really need it for it some Word and internet use so i can post articles on the move and watch the odd movie on the plane etc. so im sure pretty much any of them would be able to handle that but i still dont want to be sold a turkey.

I have to spend between 2-300 euro closer to 200 would be better. Dont mind if its bricks n mortar or online store.

I was looking at this Samsung one for 280 in PC world its an ex display model marked down from 330. Cnet said its average.

Has anyone got one that is really good they would recommend.

Good quality model, have 3 friends with them and none have had a problem so far. Just don't let anyone talk you into getting an Acer, you would regret the decision in no time.

Solid model at only €200. 6cell version so around 7hours battery life.

TBF the vast majoriy of netbooks are equally specced with battery life being the main deciding factor.

I just got the Samsung N150 and so far so good, it's running fairly sweetly on Win 7 (I've applied some tweaks here and there as well) and the battery life is pretty amazing! Movies run grand on it btw.

I also purchased it for travelling for the next 2 months so I only really need it for basic stuff such as emails, internet, music and the odd movie so it should be perfect for that really (in fairness that's all netbooks are really intended for anyway).

I paid €350 for mine in Peats (going on Monday so no time to order online) so €280 sounds like a pretty good deal to me. Go for it!
