Yep, actually cheaper than I had guessed, by the order of 5% or so.

not your fault, but I really thought this was network pricing (bill pay, PAYG etc) when I read the title - hope the :D wasn't a bit smarmy, seeing as though this pricing was well discussed yesterday on the main iPhone threads in the forum.

    back to waiting.....

Does this bode well for the price of upgrades - as in more-or-less in line with previous year's phones?

    Same here.

I payed €720 odd for it up in Belfast.

Oh well €20 extra isn't too bad for being able to have it a month early.:p

same here, but the main reason i bought up there was in case they were very limited in numbers down here.

Pleasantly, surprised, was expecting it to come in around 700. Hope to flog my 16gig 2g for around 150 and put it towards one.

Hmmm it will be interesting to see what price the Providers will set it at on PAYG. My guess is that they will keep the current price structure for the 3GS, which is €519 for the 16GB and €609 for the 32GB with Vodafone.

As tempting as an unlocked one would be, I would still buy it with a Provider because you are more than likely going to save a bit of money and it will come with credit. At the end of the day, you are still going to be using it on one of the Irish Providers so the only reason to buy an unlocked one is if you are with Meteor or Tesco Mobile.

Ha was going to post that too, but I dont think anyone on that network would be interested in an iPhone.

Don't hold me by the balls for this but - But my boss contacted the vodafone business department looking for an iPhone 4. She told him that they would have information on it tomorrow via e-mail and she would forward it to him.

I presume that the vodafone pricing structure will be released tomorrow according to that e-mail.

A few people have been told that info regarding Vodafone's pricing structure would be released tomorrow. It would want to be too, as it is being released on Friday so I would believe it.

Anyone taking bets on the phone cost for new pay monthly customers. Would be nice to see VF steal a march on O2

199 for 16gb I would think, and I doubt Vodafone could be more competitive than o2.

I don't think much will change between the current pricing from O2 and Vodafone, but I would watch out for Three though. They may have some competitive Tarriffs. My guess would be that they will have much better Data plans.

According to SiliconRepublic Compub will be selling them so I could only imagine they would be sim free, I wouldn't of thought they would bother getting into selling them with Providers.

Was told by a guy working in there that they will be selling three handsets.. Which makes sense as they had a guy from 3 in store last week selling 3 iPad data plans.

In saying that i presume they will stock the unlocked version also
