I'm seriously thinking about buying the following:04 focus saloon lx, 60 odd thousand miles, 2 owners including current one, a few minor scratches here and there. Drives well and i'm getting a mechanic to look at it. It was listed for 5k and i have it down to 4,500. I reckon I could get it down to 4,250. It is NCT'd for next 2 years. what do you think?

looks to be about the price of them..don't think your getting done or anything.. If the mechanic gives the all clear, i'd go for it..

You could probably go cheaper but end up with a knackered shed like I did once, it sounds good so far and it has NCT and if mechanic likes it why not?
I paid €8500 for my current 06 C-Max TDCI and that was with part exchange for above mentioned shed.
And I consider that a good deal.
