DOE for van

Hi, can anyone help me. Im just after buying a van which is out of DOE for the last year and a half. Does anyone know if ill have to back doe it for the year and a half its been out or will i get a full years DOE on it if it passed the DOE when i bring it. Thanks.:)

It will be from the DOE test date.
