Hey all, just wondering if someone can help me out here. I've recently received a fender jazz bass from a friend thats in desperate need of repair. I need the to have it re wired and there's also a slight problem with the neck. I hate to see such a great bass neglected like this so can anyone tell me where i can get it fixed. Somewhere that wont cost an arm and a leg as i'm a poor musician ha ha. Or if anyone on here would like to take it on as a project i'm sure we can negotiate a good price if your able to fix it. Sorry if i haven't provided too much info on it, but i don't know exactly whats wrong with it. I can play bass , i just haven't got a clue how to fix them.

Here is a similiar thread from "Boards" :

I think Derek Nelson would be the man you want (info in link). He's fairly expensive, but worth it, according to most people here.

Thanks guys i'll definitely check out both. Where abouts is jimi's i've never heard of it? Even if i can get the wiring fixed that would be great.
