Is there such a thing as a long life satellite dish that will last without rusting to bits after a couple of years? I wouldn't mind spending 3 or 4 times the cost of a standard one knowing I wouldn't need to replace it for a long time.

You will need a seperate wall mount and a good Quad lnb
If you can, Get a wall mount made From Stainless steel

Any aluminium dish will do and try to get a stainless steel wall bracket .

You can go far wrong with any Triax made dish...all very robust and excellently made in my opinion...and if your near the sea their fiberglass td70 is a great alternative...much better than the visiosat range.

would second a triax td78, excellent dish and lasting 4 years here without a spot of anything on it

I buy steel 80cm. Satellite dishes and aluminium wall brackets on ebay from a german suppplier http://stores.ebay.de/eurosat24de .
all metal construction with only the satellite holder in plastic. VERY ROBUST with a high quality paint finish, and with a total price of around 40 euros DELIVERED!!!! including the wall bracket and GOOD QUALITY LNB.... i think this is a very GOOD DEAL. BTW. they also sell aluminium Dishes and loads of other stuff!!!
    Cheers
