I want to get 2 weeks, or at least 10 days skiing, in from about the 22nd December. My problem is that I don't have anyone to go with yet. I was planning to head to Whistler, but my friend there has decided to come home for Xmas. I am not going to go solo.

I am an experienced skiier, looking for big mountain skiing, no interest in snow parks. Would consider ski touring too. So I looking for suggestions for groups that I could join, courses that I can sign up for, chalets that cater for singles etc.
Has anyone got any experience of the Ski Club or Ireland. Do they organise any decent trips?
I guess I am looking to meet people that are serious skiers. A lot of my friends ski/board, but are not that serious, and are now all married with kids, so I need to get some new friends that want to go to the mountains and focus on some serious skiing.

    Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.
(I'm a mid thirties male living in Dublin BTW)

Thanks, the Warren Smith camp is exactly the sort of thing that I am looking for. And I also love Verbier.

Unfortunately Warren Smith guys have no courses over the Xmas and New Year period. Still haven't found anything. Desperate to get trip booked. Flights to Alps are still pretty cheap, out 22nd Dec, back 4th Jan, just need to work out where to go - on my own.

If your interested in going to Soldeu I might be able to link you up with a few Irish guys training to be ski instructors. Their course does'nt start untill Jan 9th so they'l just be cruising, getting their legs back.

This is a UK website but has a whole section for matching skiers with groups. Might suit you. http://snowheads.com/ski-forum/viewforum.php?f=19&sid=2b79e0d6f202f1d60ed57ec7cd9559e1
