    Hello,

I am heading to Queenstown this Saturday (31/7) for a week with my mate. This is my second time going.

I have been keeping an eye on the snow report but has anyone been there recently that can comment?

Alse we are average boarders, can do blues and some tame blacks, do you feel Treble Cone is worth a punt?

Also if anyone is in Queenstown that wants to meet for a beer or a lift to the snow fileds (room in our car!) drop me a PM!

Did a couple of seasons in Queenstown a few years ago. Its a fun spot, not sure what the snow is like at the moment. If the conditions are right Coronet Peak is great fun, there's not much rocks on it so you can literally go everywhere. Remarkables is worth spending a day at too, some of the black runs there are brilliant and their terrain park set up is a lot better than coronet. Cardrona is a great beginners to intermediate mountain also with a really good terrian park set up. If you're comfortable enough on blues and some blacks like you say Treble Cone is well worth a look,it's hands down the best mountain around there in my opinion. Have fun, would love to be tearing up the powder now :)

I'm heading out next week, looks great out there, hopefully there'll still be a good buzz.

If your into crazy terrain then there is also SnowPark on the other side of the valley that Cardrona is in as well, massive half pipe and loads of big jumps and rails.

Just back. The snow was not great. Mickeroo you are right Treble Cone is the best, those natural half pipes are very testing. If I go back I will stay on Wanaka and not Queenstown.

Vorsprung looks like you are in luck, there was been a dump of snow yesterday. The day I came home...not fair! Have fun.

    @ happo

Yea there was a big dump alright, only it wash washed away by a fairly heavy rainfall which was across the whole island! The drive from ChCh to Qtown tok 7 hours and I had about 20 metres visability the whole way. We only went to Coronet and Remarks in the end, fairly icy with a bit of snow in between, but it wasn't great overall. Big dump day after we left though - typical!
