At present getting ready for my holidays and trying to convert some movies to MP4 so that the kids have a bit of entertainment while we are travelling. However, some of their favoutite movies, i.e. Wall-E and Dora, have copy write rpotection technology.

I have used the following software

    Handbrake - useless
DVD decrypter - totally messes with this software
Aiseesoft - easy to use but cannot crack the CP
WinX DVD Ripper PLatinum - the best of what I have but still, despite claims, cannot crack the CP

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Not the answer you were looking for but, if you already bought the DVDs I would have no qualms about downloading them either as MP4s or as divxs that you can then convert more easily.
Did Wall-e not come with a digital version included? Or was that just certain versions?

MacTheRipper will rip them onto your harddrive. Then use handbrake to encode them to MP4 once they're there.

Wall-e was bought while we were on holidays last year, it was just a standard two disk version. I'll check the second disk to see if there is a digital version on it.

I'm using Win 7 unfortunately, but thanks for the suggestion

    What was wrong with Handbrake?

DVD Fab Decrypter is a free app which removes the DVDs DRM and then you should be able to open the Vobs it created in handbrake to convert to MP4

Handbrake listed approx 99 titles with 32 chapters in each title and every one of the chapters was mixed out of sequence.

Try Slysoft AnyDVD, I've found it very good in the past :)

    Nick,

Thanks for that. I installed DVD Fab and it worked a treat and then converted it easy enough from there with Aiseesoft DVD to iPad Converter

    Wall-e - busted
    Dora - busted

Let's hoping that's enough the keep the kids quite for a couple of hours :D

Good stuff :D Yeah alot of the newer DVDs use a Sony dvd copy protection, so it needs a up to date app such as dvd fab decrypter to bypass :)
