Just a heads' up, Sophos has released a tool to detect any shortcuts that exploit the LNK vulnerability in Windows and block execution of any malicious LNK files it detects. The tool is available here and is compatible with XP and higher; 2000 and NT are the only NT kernel versions not supported.
