You can buy tickets there once they go on sale, which should be in the next couple of weeks.

We flew to Brussels (Charleroi) with Ryanair last year which is about 40km south of the city. Aer Lingus fly much closer to Brussels. Or flying to Amsterdam is an option which we're probably gonna do this year.

They've a really good train network over there, so wherever you fly to you'll get to Ghent easily.

If your going from Amsterdam, which I dont in 2008, you can get a train with one change in Antwerp, it cost us €44 return from Amsterdam to Ghent....

In our case, after 2 full days smoking up it and a hoor of a train journey down, we were more or less fit for bed once we arrived at the event. I wouldnt recommend you go via amsterdam simply because there's a great chance you'll be slightly burnt out by the time you reach Ghent.

Trains run from Charleroi to Antwerp every half-hour plus flights with ryanair from Dublin are pittance in comparison to flying into Amsterdam so I reckon thats your best bet.

Planning on going with a few mates, I emailed ILT and they got back to me saying that tickets are on sale the end of August and prices are still to be announced.
Planning of flying to Brussels and stay in Ghent. Its gonna workout at a bout 350 per person for the weekend for us I think!

they really need to take the 'Techno' out of the name of the event.

thats wrong, you have to bus it from charleroi to the nearest train station, which i can't remember the name of, good 20 mins or so, i used to live in Ghent, its about 45 mins from Brussels on the train, i did the amsterdam thing many times, your looking at about an 1 1/2 with one change, so could take up to two hours, train netowrk is good but a little dated on the Belgian side as you'll notice in the train stations Belgian = somewhat delapidated, Holland = Nice n modern

I meant Charleroi as in the town itself and not the airport. The bus is max 20 minutes as its a straight run in on the motorway and the station is just beside one of the exits off it. Plus its only €2.50 for one way.
