    Greetings friends,
Hopefully I shall be going to college in September and I'm looking for suggestions of people who would know something about them as to which one I should get.
Was thinking of a Macbook but are they really that much ahead of the rest of the laptops?I'm working in an electrical shop,so I may be able to get some discount on certain ones,so not too sure of my budget, probably nearer 1000,but not limited to.
I'd really just be using it for surfing the web, listening to music, betting and doing work on it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

If the gaming hobby grows and you want to play modern games get the studio xps 16 from dell if they have fixed the power problems with that model. starts at 1059 from dell.ie

If not the studio 15 should be ok, have 3 friends with it and they love it.

The inspiron I series is a nice cheaper option too.

If your very accurate in saying you want to game a little but work most, the studio 15 is probably your best bet.

Cant go wrong with any Sony Vaio really.....stay away from Mac's unless you want a really simple laptop at a higher cost.
