the general gist of the offer is if you use your games a deposit for a pre-order, they'll give you an extra 25% compared to a normal trade-in

it applies to pre-ordering the following games:

Halo Reach
Mafia 2
Kane & Lynch 2
COD Black Ops
WOW Cataclysm
Gran Turismo 5
True Crime
The Sims 3
Need For Speed Hot Pursuit


eg. I trade in Red Dead Redemption, I get €43.75 (€35 + 25%) of a deposit against Halo Reach, and pay the difference, probably €6.24 on release day

There's no specific games as far as I'm aware, they're giving the extra 25% off any pre-orders as far as I know.

I traded POP: The Forgotten Sands and Singularity and got €60 against Black Ops, also got €56 against Assassin's Creed Brotherhoos with Crackdown 2 and two other crap titles. And yesterday traded Splinter Cell Conviction, Bad Company 2 and Sherlock Holmes for €71 off Dead Rising 2 Special Edt.

Also, they're only giving €32 for Red Dead now!

If your getting Halo: Reach, Gamestop are currently doing an offer of taking three trade ins from a list of 300 games and you'll get game for only 3 euro... might be of use for someone. The list of games is across all the current console platforms.

I am getting kind of tired of Gamestops new 'Hard sell' policy when your dealing with their staff though.

I'd agree with that , much rather hold onto them or sell them on elsewhere than let them go at that price.

Ya i couldnt have being bothered though, just thought id get rid of them. Never play them anymore. Probably didnt even spend 2 hours on Killzone 2 In Total!!

ha ha, I sure hope not. You should have seen the guy lecturing me to insure my 5euro(+trade in) copy of Halo ODST.

sorry for being a bit OT, but if I trade in MW2 for PS3 it seems I'll probably get 25 euro, based on previous posts, but what I'm wondering is if people have experience of trading in special editions - do they give more for them? I have the hardened edition...

I traded in the standard edition for ps3 last week and I got 26 euro for it, at the same time I traded in The Hardened edition for xbox 360 and I got 18 euro, that was probably because they had enough on xbox but I'm not sure if they will give you a better price for the hardened edition!
