Hey (hope im in the right forum)

Problem: Two months ago i spilled red bull on my laptop, it went on the keyboard, under the keys. Quite a decent amount aswell.

I dryed it off as much as poossible and powered it off. Since then it hasnt turned on again. I havent really been bothered with cos ive been using gf's PC. However I now need to get access to quite a lot of material i have stored on it.

Any advice people? Is there a way to fix it myself, e.g. take it apart and fiddle with it. Or should i bring it somewhere?

    Nad

What's the make of laptop?? If it won't turn on (is there any chance that fan spinning??) probably motherboard gone. You can take off the hard drive and put into another laptop or put into portable cover and recover all files.

the motherboard is most likely fried (at best!) - very ocasionally you can be luckly with water spills if you let the unit dry out before attempting power on but I dont think you would be so lucky with red bull..
