Just wondering about this, and would really appreciate a definite answer!

With 'ag glacadh páirt i gcomórtas de chuid an LCG' does the páirt here stay in nominative or does it go into genitive?

** I know -as a broad rule- that after a verbal noun the following noun is meant to go into the genitive but something is telling me that when that noun is qualified (páirt i gcomórtas LCG), it stays in nominative instead of genitive**

So ag glacadh páirte i gcomórtas de chuid an LCG

    or

ag glacadh páirt i gcomórtas de chuid an LCG

Ag glacadh páirte i gcomórtas de chuid an LCG is what would be written according to An Caighdeán Oifigiúil but the e would slide into the i in speech.
