Can someone please explain how this is calculated for the years 2006 - 2009 I think it changed at some stage. I don't understand where they got my refund amount from? The amounts seem to differ in '08 and '09 even though I had more expenses in 08 (2009's refund was larger) Thanks

Hi

Medical expenses in 09 are at the standard rate ie 20%

Previously allowed at the taxpayers marginal rate of tax.
