Bag with staples - airport security problem?

Hey folks just looking for a bit of advice.

Will be flying out with Ryanair during the week and will be taking one bag as hand luggage. Today I discovered that my bag had a large tear on it. As I cannot sew to save my life I decided to staple the tear up. Just wondering if that will pose any problems getting through security at the airport?

    Thanks.

    i'd say 50/50

As you're not flyin till mid week wouldn't it be safer just to go and get a new bag?

Think I shall have a root about the attic for another bag.

bring a black sack with you in the side pocket of your bag? if they make a fuss about the staples take them out and then put your bag into the black bag.
