Ever find yourself looking for free wifi spots when you have nothing better to do? When your on the road alot like myself I can't help but pull in somewhere and see if any free wifi is going:D.

Nice one there in Stillorgan at the "Gotham" cafe, no need to go in and buy a coffee, just park outside and browse away.

i used to do it all the time, and then i'd use the voip client to make calls.

back in 2005 i was constantly at it with the nokia 9500. those were the good old days, then suddenly one day everyone made their bebo profile private, boarded up the windows and turned on Wuppa-TKIP on their router because they read something on the Daily Mail about paedophiles potentially using their wifi to download kiddy porn using their bandwidth

now I just dont get out much anymore. but i know theres a few open AP's in cork. I leave my own open so that people can use it but there is no point really I'm too far in from the road and people wouldnt stop here anyway

5 or 6 years ago I could sit in my garden and find 3 or 4 unprotected wireless networks. Their all protected now and rightly so but the convenience of getting a connection when your out and about is hit and miss these days.

This is why we have something called " mobile broadband " these days. ; It is made for people who need internet on the go. Outside in the train/bus/car.

But it's much handier as it saves you time (since you can connect in most places these days) thus saving you from searching the entire city for a wifi spot :)
