This is a paid app so you need to have some way of accessing paid market apps...

Release thread in XDA (Some "dubious" links in it :D)
    http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=734982&page=3

Anyways, i've just got it now and am in the process of putting Metal Gear Solid on my phone :p

I've been waiting for this emulator for ages.

Edit: And there's no sound :( Perfect until it reaches the menu but it doesn't go ingame :(

Did you get this through the UK market or the .apk that is on XDA?

FFVII works pretty well - a little stuttery but well playable - sweet! Surprised that it works so well for a v1 app

Don't find any games particularly playable... Seems like it was made optimized for FF VII only.

Same here tried a few games but its impossible to control.

You might have a point there - FFVII works suspiciously well! Great game though...

I've found that most emulators tend to work well with the FF series, which leads me to believe that they are used as a kind of "yardstick" for many beta emulators. (pure speculation, btw)

That makes sense, I'm sure FF VII is the first PSX game that would come into the majority of people's minds.

I guess but I would have thought Metal Gear Solid would atleast have been playable. It's not as if it's an obscure game or something =/

are you guys just finding the controls a pain or are the games not working?
as abive ive been playing the original RE for a good bit without any issue

i suggest switiching to a non htc rom and using a wii classic controller if you want to have any reasonable control :)

finally downloaded this the other day to my Desire HD - the 'Lite' 1.7 version worked great with FF7 so I purchased the full version (1.8) and it is really really jumpy/laggy. I uninstalled it and got my order cancelled - but does anyone know if there is a way of buying the 1.7 version. I could use the 'lite' version and play FF7 lag/jump free, but I can't use the save state option. Would like respectable performance and the save state feature.

I downloaded this application in the full knowledge it may be laggy in MGS and most other games. Anyway I tried it yesterday and yes it is brutal for two games I tried out. Tekken 3 and Metal Gear Solid were unplayable.

20-30 FPS wont get you far I'm afraid. Smartphones have a another bit to go in order to play these high end 3D games. Anyone tried it on the Desire HD?

Works beautifully on my Desire + archos tablet. You have to "unecm" some of the roms or they won't load.
