Hello all,

I have a bog standard Grundig (i.e. circa 7 year old non flatscreen tv) at home that has randomly stopped displaying anything on the screen. The tv turns on ok and still remembers the correct channel order but it displays nothing both for the tv reception and for the dvd player and cassette player. It has randomly stopped responding to certain buttons on the remote. When I turn it on, it also starts switching itself between the mono and surround sound settings.

The tv reception, dvd player etc are all ok as they all work fine on another tv.

Basically I'm confused as we did not do anything different to or with the tv.

Any help? I appreciate that this may be a sign to go out and buy new tv but if it can be fixed simply I'd like to try!!
