I heard once that it is the law to stop for pedestrians if they are already on the road its is the cars responsibility

A form of Napoleon complex, basically.

The reason is because they have a perceived sense of lower status in our male dominated society. When a female sees that you have an opportunity to cross in front of them, or let you out of a junction, a complex series of neurons fire in their brains that indicates to its owner that this is not acceptable behavior because this person will effectively be "getting one up on you". It is theorised that this behavior releases endorphins that numb the pain of glass ceilings, wage differentiations and the fact that women are crap with power tools.

I had 2 beauties in Mahon walked out of a shop and onto the road, proceded to walk 2 a brest on the road blocking traffic mainly me. They then got to the Zebra crossing and only then bothered to check if there was anything coming, I mean come on.

Because you're probably driving 40kph in the overtaking lane when the other is empty, your indicator still indicating right, having a chat on the mobile while putting on make up!

Because they're afraid the car will stall if they stop - this also explains why they speed up coming up to traffic lights - just in case they go red. I regularly stop to let beautiful women cross the road in front of me - men can feck off though.

I'm the first to agree that some speed limits in my area are too low for the type of roads they are. But because I have no intention of making the traffic corps day, and getting penalty points, I do stick to the limit. The amount of times I've had some twat in his big car revving right up my arse, like he's trying to bully me into speeding up, or peppering to get past me. Dude, your not gonna make me go any faster, so just overtake:mad:. All it makes me want to do is lamp on the brakes and start driving reeeaaalll slooooow:D. But because I am a careful and non agressive driver, of course I don't:p
