iPhone network signal message

    I'll keep it simple....

    iPhone 3GS running OS 4.0.1

    I keep getting this bloody pop up :mad: Really fecking annoying me now when Im typing a message or viewing pictures.

    As can be seen from the picture I have a network signal all be it a very weak one. (that is of course if the network signal indication can be believed with the OS 4 software)

    Seriously thinking about going back to OS 3.2.1

    Anybody else encountering this problem?

    You have to change the settings to automatic
    Settings>
    Carrier>
    automatic

    Lads I have the same problem. Is there anyway of turning off this message. It's really annoying considering I have very little to no signal when I'm at home. This message could pop up about 3 to 4 times an hour if I'm using it. I don't want to be turning on & off the 3G when I arrive home. Any solutions.

    Same is happening me. When i crossed the border north and came back it started happening... Mine is n automatic.

    Im still getting this also. EVERYTIME I go to send a message.

    I have 3G, cellular date, roaming all turned off and carrier set to automatic.

    Pissing me off no end this really is.

    Was getting this message all the time with o2. Not at all after I switched to three though.
