childcare - do level 6 without level 5?

Am looking at a career move and want to get into childcare.
I've been looking at the Advanced Certificate in Supervision in Childcare (Level 6 Major Certificate) in CMIT.
My current line of thinking is do the level 6 and skip the level 5...if that is advisable and then do a montessori 3 year distance afterward if childcare really is for me.
Would a creche touch me with a level 6 and no level 5?
    Thanks!
