    Just a quick question.

Ive recieved infractions on the soccer forum in the past for calling a player/manager/pundit a scumbag or something similar. How come this is against the rules on the Soccer Forum but not on others?

    All forums have seperate rules.

Each forum should have a sticky at the top with that forums rules in it.

Read each charter before posting in it.

Because of the "tribal" manner of the soccer forum, calling someone a scumbag may be more inflammatory than it would be in another forum. So in order to keep the peace, any form of abuse is outlawed in that forum. As Tallon pointed out, each forum has its own set of local rules that may not work, or be required elsewhere, so it's up to each poster to be aware of what is acceptable and not in each forum they post in.

Pretty much as has already been said. The soccer forum can have members that get into a right knot over calling some Spanish manager of an english team a spastick.

Personally i dont get it, but them be the rules to be followed, its easier to stop the fire starting than trying to stop it..

    Picture yourself in a pub.
You're sitting between hardcore (travel over a few times a season and constantly wear their team colours in some way) Man U and Liverpool fans.
You say that Torres and Rooney are scumbags (they play for those teams, right?).

    Picture their reaction.
Now factor in that relative anonymity + lack of physical violence + idiocy = RAWWWWWWWWWWRRRRRRRR!!!!! and you have your answer.
