I've decided to watch Chuck season 1/2

I've watched season 1 ep. 1-5 thus far, enjoying it....i keep hearing i'm not allowed an opinion on the show because i haven't got "context" nor watched season 1/2.

So to get a fully rounded and informed opinion on Chuck as a whole i shall watch every ep., as such in the future you shall receive my fully qualified and informed opinion on Chuck...no more can my opinions on this show be waved off.

I'm upto ep. 14 - tis grand thus far, i see they had Noureen Dewoulf in one ep. McHottie!
Bryce and the Chuck/Sarah dynamic makes more sense now....i'll keep going.

So i've seen all of season 1 thus far, and five eps. of season 2 - i find season 2 to be much better, a great laugh!...i rag on Chuck but it's just jest, but part of it is near "hero" worship afforded the show.

While Chuck is a good and aimed at fanboys it dosen't deserve the worship poured on it, i think that's my issue...it's a silly fun show, but it's not "quality" tv nor an award winning show.

So in short my issue is more with the fanboys posting about the show more then the show itself.

your obsessed with this fanboy issue, just cause someone differs from your view doesnt make them fanboys, it just means you have different taste or opinion, which your perfectly entitled to,

fanboy make it sound like were obsessed with this show, it just one of our favourite shows, that we like to talk about on this forum, i honestly cant see the reasoning behind you even watching this show seeing you already conveyed your dislike of it,

also could you elaborate exactly how this show is aimed at us "fanboys",

^ back when i said i hated the show, i hadn't seen it....and i admitted i was wrong to judge the show, which is *why* i decided to watch season 1/2.

As for fanboys, i explained why....it's not about difference of opinion moreso how people laud the show as the best thing ever, it's not. I state that as an absolute and not as opinion.

hmmm indeed, imagine going to a forum dedicated to a show and actually finding people that enjoy watching the show,

i think we all know its not "the" greatest show in the world ever, but we like it, we think its one of the better shows on tv, i watch about 25-30 shows during the year, and i always look forward to seeing whats happening at the buy more each week,

chuck isnt my top much watch show, but its deffinately in the top half if not quarter of my list,

personally if you came here saying the office is the best show in the world id leave you to your opinion, personally, i wouldnt go watch what i think, is a below average show, just so that i can say its a below average show,

It's not hero worship, its just that we really like the show and are trying to get more people interested. Also, the fact that its better then 90% of the crap thats shown these days, and there was still a very good chance of it getting cancelled. It's frustrating seeing **** like Glee and Vampire Diaries getting renewed, when quality shows are in trouble.

I'm up to season 2 episode 10....S2 definately better, i'll be watching season 4 for sure.

^ see that's my point....you sh*t on Glee and The Vampire Diaries...but have you seen all the eps.?

have YOU or others given it a chance??????....no, you guys shot ME down for not watching season 1/2 and saying.....ohh you haven't seen them you're not entitled to an opinion.

Of course i haven't seen all the episodes. I've seen a few, and can tell after a few episodes that they are awful. If I had to see severy episode before giving my opinion, then we'd never get to give you opinions.

And obviously its only my opinion, or in this case, the majority of people on the forum. But you wont see me going to the Glee or Vampire Diaries forum to say that the program is crap, or only aimed at teenage girls (which they are :P)

not really, i watched 3 or 4 episodes of glee, and wouldnt consider it aimed at a 26 year old man, now to each there own, i gave it the 3 or 4 episodes, gave my view, and kindy left the glee forum to the people who watch it,

my view is to watch the first 4-6 episodes and if it doesnt interest me i walk away, glee is aimed at one auduence and chuck at another, im sure there is a small crossover but i wouldnt think its much,

for the few episode i saw i dont see how it would have a large appeal to people who like chuck, completely different shows,

P.S glee fanboys are of a much higher fanboys level than any other fanboys of any show on tv right now, its a show aimed at a particualry large audience, who there are i honestly dont know, but fair play, someone is getting a hugh bonus this year,

That doesnt work though. You say its aimed at fanboys. Fanboys of what? A fanboy isnt a type of person. You can't aim a show at the fans of said show. You aim it at a certain age/gender group, and then they may turn into fan(boys) at some stage. And as don ramo said, Chuck fanboys ain't got nothing on Glee fanboys.

Someone who knows their sci-fi/IT references may get more enjoyment out of certain aspects of Chuck, but that's not to say that everyone couldnt enjoy it. It has much broader appeal then Glee anyway.

Finally, you said in the OP that ".i keep hearing i'm not allowed an opinion on the show because i haven't got "context" nor watched season 1/2.". It's not that you aren't allowed an opinion. It's just that you have, on more then one occasion, judged a show on a random episode you've seen in the middle of a show's season. At least have watched the first few episodes (or even just the first) before judging something.

In fairness Richard you judged Chuck during Season 3 when you hadn't watched the first 2 Seasons. You missed alot of the storyline.

Glee has only shown the first series and if one was to watch it half way through the first series it would be rather easy to grasp the show and give a fair judgement on the show.

Anyway, Chuck is a great show. Personally I got bored half way through Season 2 and was gonna give up on it but I kept with it. It got better towards the end of Season 2, but Season 3 is much better. I would say it is the best Season yet and I still have to watch 9 more episodes in the season.
