Bought Iphone 3gs the other day. Wi-fi's working fine on it, but can't seem to connect to internet (3g) when I'm out and about. Is there some sort of settings that I have to adjust, or somesuch? Apolgies if this thread is a duplicate.

A couple of things, firstly is there a 3g signal in your area, are you even getting the "E" for edge signal, have you got the proper settings for meteor put into the phone, and have you the 3g actually switched on on you phone

    Settings,
    General,
    Network,
    Enable 3G

Where should the E be appearing? Settings are in phone, 3g's switched on. In Cork, so presume it's in my area.

Think I have it now, lads - I'd wi-fi on, so no 3g was appearing. Turned wi-fi off and the 3g logo appeared. Presume that means I'm ok now?

You need to change your APN or MMS settings to meteor's settings. You'll find a sticky in this thread or the Mobile/PDAs forum.
