Mine is not getting warm (iphone 4) but it is drinking the battery. Having to charge it twice a day now.

how long does it keep you logged in for ? If I double click the home button, the app is there as a background running app but I don't appear as online on other people's lists. Also I only seem to get push messages on wifi, not 3g

It stays logged in for me. Make sure you updated to latest skype software.

I read somewhere that the connection dies when moving between 3G and wifi and that you need to restart the app when changing between radios. I haven't checked this out though so can't say if this is true.

That could be it. It was working on my home wifi, but when I went out for a while it wasn't working when I came back. The only way to check if it's working is to ask someone else if I appear online on Skype.

Very heavy on the battery - not really a multitasking option

I've done a power off and back on again and it seems to have sorted the problem a bit. Still think an update is needed though.

Totally agree - my iPhone us beginning to remind me of my first android phone - once it got hot, the battery just seemed to drain away.

Do we demand too much from these small technological wonders or are coders just a little bit too sloppy.
