    Anyone got any experience or views on THESE ? Got a box of 140gr off my cousin, he swears by them, gonna give them a blast on paper tomorrow.

    140grain soft points are ok,Hornady are best of soft points in most calibres

    But for 6.5 I'd go Norma 120 grain Ballistic tipped

    Yes but at €50 a box and down in wexford not that practical !! Friend of mine loads his own 6.5's using 120gr norma bullets, says there great for neck shots but just dont have the penetration for heart shots in big reds !!

    If you want big reds perhaps you want a .308 or .270

    not getting into a calibre debate again. I have a 6.5 and its well able to take down reds !!

    What are the remington corelokts like?I think they are 140 grainers.

    its as simple as this . stick up a shot clock .

    i have seen deer shot with cals from .22 mag to 338 .bullet placement is the everything .
    there is no magic cal .

    DW has a interesting thread on shot placement it went know where as guys dont miss
