There were Germany half ironman caps used for the swim in Kinsale as well. Bit strange really. I was hoping for an IM finishers medal at the end myself.

The T-shirt is nice, agree with the swim hats, i got the same hat for skerries and they were given out in the kilkock tri aswell, they must get them cheap,
well that or when the ironman guy was ordering the swim hats he stuck 2 extra 0's at the end of the order slip by mistake:P
Lip balm and foil blanket in the asics bag????
Twix was nice for the drive home:D

Brilliant job by WTC (very well organized, brilliant support from marshals, lots of draft-busting, huge buoys to sight off in the swim).

I might have a tshirt that says I tamed the BOTE, but tbh I think the beast won. I'm destroyed; didn't get the swim I was aiming for, and came in a little outside my time from Kilkee which I was hoping to get 5mins off for a 2.3x. All the same, had a great day out.

It was an absolutely cracking Triathlon yesterday, it was my second Olympic distance triathlon and i loved every minute of it, i didn't break any records but i arrived home 3.07, i had a good swim, ok bike and a bad run, the hills on the bike course were very hard, the big hill towards the end was a bugger to get up and then the hill at the start of the run just as bad while running, great marshalling by all the Wicklow Tri people, they were shouting encouragement at all passing by. great placment of the water stations, and the burgers after were lovely.
    Roll on next year:D
