    Hi all,

out of speed sprinter here who's only been able to start training this month due to College commitments.

I'm interested in finding some amateur 1500m races for some fun. Recently I've been able run for 15-20mins at a 6.15 to 6.30 mileage pace.

Is anyone aware of any races that I'd fit into nicely please?!

    Many thanks

    Thanks Ecoli, based in Dublin.

Any idea where I can find out more please? I've never raced above 400m before but I'm dying for a bit of competition!

Here is a list for the last graded meet of the season. Im afraid there is no 1500 but there is either an 800m or a 3k if you are interested. Given your training you could have a good 3k time

    Nice - thank you.

I guess I'll have to do a 3000m in Maxcats! Would Grade b be the right category?!

    many thanks m8!

Grade b is roughly 10 min pace if i recall correctly but given your strength you would be there or there abouts. Either b or c depending how confident you are in your abilities though you seem to have the strength to be able give it a good lash. Best of luck with it

Here is a link if you want to check out previous results might give you more of an idea:

On second thoughts I think I'll go Grade C. I'd say I'd be just under 12mins with spikes. Hope its a slow one and I get to kick!

    Thanks for the help guys.
