    Hi,

I have forgotten the password for my administrator account on my netbook. Its an Acer aspire one netbook, with windows xp home edition. I can't find any method on line for removing/recovering the password that dont involve a CD drive, which my netbook doesn't have. Any suggestions? I'm currently using it in guest mode . . .

    Thanks!!!

I thought the one I quoted was the standard.. believe me if the choice is risking blanking a password, or recovering it with fear of damaging the SAM, 30 euro is not a lot of money..

Safe mode, log on as seperate admin account ( not the regular one) and control panel, remove password for account. Safe mode is very slow to load!!!

locking thread and removing references to password crackers, especially the bottom feeders

I've no problem with password reset, since this requires physical access which means you can already see the files
