I've become so bored at home this summer that I've decided I'm going to make some tutorials for linux for fun..

Just can't really think of any good ideas for them..

Any people here, new to ubuntu or other distros have any questions or ideas they would like a vid/doc on?

Package Management is always good to do, I imagine the amount of people who go googling for software and stuff is quite high, simply because they don't realise that their new OS doesn't suck completely when it comes to installing 3rd party apps :P.
Unfortunately it'd have to be distro-specific.

Perhaps a tutorial on the Ubuntu Software Centre would be a good first step? Most who are starting out with desktop Linux will likely be using Ubuntu or an Ubuntu-derived distro.

I agree with Pygmalion; managing software by means of packages in general is usually a completely new concept for the novice desktop Linux user, and the first thing they likely want to do after the OS install is install extra software.
